Sock Rocket is a custom sock company that partnered with Futureproof. They operate as a social enterprise with a unique mission: to deliver fun and funky socks to people worldwide while making a positive impact. From the outset, their goal was ambitious: to donate 1,000,000 pairs of socks to agencies and initiatives providing clothing to those in need. Starting as a local sock of the month subscription program, they donated a pair for every pair sent. As their reach expanded, they transitioned to a three-for-one donation model, tripling their social impact.

Today, Sock Rocket has emerged as a leading sock company, designing and producing vibrant socks available for individual purchase, subscription, and custom orders. Products are sold online, at markets, events, and in over 100 stores across Canada and the USA. They’ve donated over 450,000 pairs of socks to date. As Sock Rocket continues to grow, their commitment to spreading joy and making a difference remains steadfast.

Problem Statement

Sock Rocket faced the challenge of managing multiple marketing vendors, leading to fragmentation and inefficiency in their marketing efforts. Futureproof was enlisted to streamline their marketing operations under one roof. As Sock Rocket's focus shifted from B2C to B2B, Futureproof seamlessly adapted their strategy to meet Sock Rocket’s evolving needs.

Process

Opportunities and Solutions

Futureproof implemented a comprehensive marketing solution, including setting up a CRM system that provided the proper infrastructure for results tracking and lead nurturing, which has led to more informed decision-making and more sales. Automating several aspects of the customer journey allowed Sock Rocket to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver more personalized experiences tailored to individual preferences and needs.

Additionally, Futureproof’s team of experts worked to develop both evergreen and ongoing assets, processes, funnels, and ads tailored to Sock Rocket's goals. Projects were strategically linked to timely events and sales cycles, ensuring relevance and maximizing impact.

Specifically, a targeted B2B plan was implemented which saw the establishment and ongoing updates of a company LinkedIn page, allowing for enhanced networking opportunities, direct engagement with potential clients, and the sharing of company insights and updates, thereby bolstering brand visibility and credibility to potential clients.

Efforts also included the development of a winback email series, which aimed to re-engage dormant or lost customers by offering tailored incentives, highlighting product features and benefits, or simply reigniting interest in Sock Rocket’s products or services. This strategy saw tremendous success with increased engagement and conversion rates. 

Finally, inbound forms for B2B customers were optimized and website language updated in order to make the intake process smoother and more efficient, resulting in increased conversion rates and enhanced customer satisfaction.

The collaboration process was marked by strong communication and consistent meetings, ensuring that all parties were aligned and engaged. Both parties met twice weekly over a three year period to ensure priorities were aligned and progress was being made towards goals.

The direct-to-expert model provided Sock Rocket with immediate access to a diverse team of specialists, facilitating efficient problem-solving and solution implementation.
